Filter housings come in four standard sizes with different flow rates.
10″ Standard – 40 lpm (Litres per minute)
20″ standard – 60 lpm
10″ Jumbo (Big Blue) – 80 lpm
20″ Jumbo (Big Blue) – 180 lpm
However, these flow rates are affected by the choice of filter cartridge elements in stalled, but this is nevertheless a reasonable guideline.
Consideration should be given to the space available for installing the system, plus the servicing aspects. e.g. a 20″ Jumbo Housing with a filter element inside, and completely full of water, becomes quite heavy and needs a person with enough strength to be able to service and replace the cartridges.
